Portsmouth, NH – Timberline Construction Corporation has completed a conversion, expansion and infrastructure upgrade for Ethos Port City Veterinary Hospital, enabling the delivery of enhanced specialty and emergency animal care in Portsmouth.

Ethos selected Timberline to lead the transformation of an existing office building into a 24,000sf, state-of-theart veterinary hospital, followed by a ground-up Linear Accelerator( LINAC) addition and comprehensive mechanical and HVAC upgrades. The completed projects encompass more than 51,500sf of highly technical healthcare space, all delivered while the facility remained fully operational.

The initial hospital conversion included a full interior demolition and rebuild with new walls, finishes and MEP systems. Timberline delivered specialized clinical spaces including surgical suites, an MRI machine and control room, and a CT suite with supporting infrastructure and specialty medical lighting. The team also provided design-build services for structural steel required to support imaging equipment and overhead medical systems, completing extensive field verification to meet late-stage design requirements.

Following the hospital renovation, Timberline completed a series of facility improvements, including the ground-up construction of a 2,500sf addition to house the LINAC and critical mechanical HVAC upgrades in the fully operational hospital. The addition – built to house the LINAC used for precise radiation therapy in cancer treatment – was designed to meet stringent radiation treatment requirements. raceways for accelerator controls. The HVAC improvements included replacement of two rooftop units along with new VAV and fan-powered boxes to improve system performance and environmental control.
