SCIC Announces Promotions, New Hire
Marion, MA – South Coast Improvement Company( SCIC) announced the promotion of three long-standing leaders to senior vice president roles. Alex Browne has been promoted to senior vice president of preconstruction, Gareth O’ Neill has been promoted to senior vice president of business development, and Matthew Smyth has been promoted to senior vice president of operations.
Browne has progressed through the organization from site supervision to project management and preconstruction leadership, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the full project lifecycle. His experience includes healthcare, education, and occupied renovation projects, and expertise includes estimating, planning, budgeting, and risk mitigation.

Canton, MA – Gray, Gray & Gray, LLP announced that Venice Williams, CPA, MST, has been elected a partner in the firm’ s Tax Department.
Williams will be responsible for working directly with clients across a wide range of industries on strategic tax planning and tax compliance. Internally, she will manage several of the firm’ s tax teams while fostering staff development through mentoring and training programs. Williams began her career with Gray, Gray & Gray in 2009 as an intern, then joined the firm full-time in 2010. She served as a tax manager, senior tax manager, and director of tax before she was elected partner.

Eva Čápová recently joined Studio G as a project captain, supporting institutional and housing projects. She brings with her eight years of professional experience, along with a background in multifamily housing and civic work, and holds a LEED Green Associate certification.
Rashmi Ramaswamy has also joined Studio G as a senior project architect / manager, working within the Housing Studio and on nonprofit-focused projects. She brings extensive experience in affordable and supportive housing. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a consultant to Studio G.
Hanna Fortin has also joined Studio G as an architect 3, supporting the Education and Civic Studio. She brings significant experience in higher education projects throughout Rhode Island, including historic preservation, renovations, additions, and K – 12 facilities.

In his new role, Smyth provides comprehensive oversight of operations, bringing nearly 20 years of industry experience managing complex new construction and fully occupied renovation projects. His background spans civil, structural, roofing, and MEP work, coupled with a strong focus on safety, quality control, and operational efficiency.
The company also announced the addition of Niall Cahill as project manager, where he will focus on managing and growing SCIC’ s Property, Survey and Assessment( PSA) project portfolio.
Cahill brings nearly a decade of experience overseeing complex construction projects across commercial, institutional, industrial, and restoration sectors. In his role at SCIC, he will be responsible for leading PSA projects from planning through execution— ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with client objectives— while helping expand SCIC’ s capabilities and reach in this specialized service line. Prior to joining SCIC, he served as a project manager at Duncan & Cahill Construction.

With more than 24 years of experience designing education and community-focused environments, Czarnecki partners closely with public-and private-sector clients to deliver thoughtful, consensus-driven solutions. She has been with JCJ since 2003.
Drawing on decades of experience in gaming and resort design, Mitra is a trusted client advisor and seasoned leader, recognized for her ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver solutions at a wide range of scales, according to the firm’ s representatives. She joined the JCJ team in 2005.
Nielsen’ s experience spans boutique and branded hospitality projects, including ground-up construction, renovations, and comprehensive repositioning efforts. She has been with JCJ since 2005.
