Beverly, Mass. – The Lodge at Endicott College has completed a 3,947sf renovation and 507sf addition. Connolly Brothers Inc. served as construction manager and Derck & Edson, LLC served as architect of record.
The Lodge is one of Endicott College’ s on-campus dining venues, offering students a casual, relaxed, retail-style dining option and lounge. The project scope involved demolition of the existing
kitchen, dining and lounge areas to accommodate a new commercial kitchen, serving line and two restrooms. Upgrades were made to the dining, lounge and mezzanine areas including installation of a new HVAC system.
The 507sf addition houses a dedicated dish room, walk-in freezer and walk-in cooler, supporting the upgraded kitchen operations and providing additional storage capacity for food.
During construction, the team navigated tight site logistics including having to reroute the building’ s existing sewer line. The project was completed on a compressed“ summer slammer” schedule.
“ At Endicott, we’ re always looking for ways to make the everyday student experience better,” said Rick Gagnon, associate vice president of facilities operations.“ The Lodge is a place where students can grab a meal, connect with friends, and
take a break between classes, and this renovation gives them a modern, comfortable, and welcoming space to do just that.”
The project team also included BLM & C Electrical Corporation, Inc.; Carlino Building Associates LLC; JDB Engineering, Inc.; J. J. Sullivan Plumbing and Heating Contractors, Inc.; Meninno Construction; Meridian Associates, Inc.; Stahl Sheaffer Engineering; and Xcel Fire Protection, Inc.

WR Industrial Hub Lists 250,000sf at Historic North Dighton Mill

North Dighton, Mass. – WR Industrial Hub at 620 Spring Street, a historic waterfront mill complex on Mount Hope Pond and the Three Mile River, is under new ownership and available to lease for industrial, manufacturing, distribution, corporate, educational and institutional use.
The complex encompasses more than 550,000sf on over 40 acres, with 250,000sf currently available, more than 600 parking spaces, executive offices and lower-level storage. Space is offered at $ 5 / sf triple net.
Industrial areas feature concrete floors, ceilings ranging from 12 feet to four stories, covered loading docks, freight elevators, truck access, large mill windows and skylights. Some spaces carry 480-volt, three-phase electrical infrastructure suited to power-intensive operations including automation, robotics, R & D and industrial processing. An approximately 35,000sf executive office center includes private offices, conference and collaboration spaces, cafeteria facilities and a glass entrance lobby, allowing companies to combine corporate and industrial operations on one campus.
The four-story waterside atrium, which has a large overhead door, could also support an event venue, subject to applicable approvals.
The property is positioned as a shared industry and training campus. Approximately 30 % of Massachusetts’ residential construction workforce is age 55 or older, and the state has set a goal
620 Spring St., North Dighton
of registering 100,000 apprentices by 2036. Employers could use the campus for training, certifications and product demonstrations while apprentices and students gain exposure to active industry. The campus already supports manufacturing, textiles, specialty production, printing, warehousing and distribution.
Access to Route 24, I-195 and I-495 places North Dighton between Greater Boston, Providence, the South Shore and Cape Cod.
The Mount Hope Finishing Company established operations along the river in 1901 and helped shape North Dighton as an industrial community. The site’ s waterfront identity includes a pedestrian bridge spanning the Three Mile River and the historic dam at Mount Hope Pond.
The property is exclusively listed by HRE Commercial, a division of Homistic Real Estate.
