AGC MA Announces 2026 Safety Award Honorees

Wellesley, MA – The Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts( AGC MA) recognized the recipients of its 2026 Annual Safety Awards on Sept. 18 at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy.
The program covered the 2025 National AGC Safety Awards, the AGC MA Merit Safety Awards and the Clifford E. Simmons Award, and recognized the individuals and organizations working to advance safety culture in the Massachusetts construction industry.
“ Safety is a responsibility shared by everyone in our industry, and these awards recognize the companies and individuals who continue to raise the standard,” said John Ferrante, CEO of AGC MA.“ Their leadership, commitment, and focus on protecting workers make our jobsites and our industry stronger.”
Three finalists were named for AGC MA’ s Superintendent of the Year, Safety Alignment Award, which honors superintendents who prioritize safety, demonstrate leadership and consistently implement best practices to protect workers: Michael Oliveri of Consigli Construction, Keith Melanson of Erland
Construction and Christian Tortora. The winner was announced at the event and presented with AGC MA’ s Golden Safety Glasses.
“ These three finalists represent the leadership that strong safety cultures require in the field every day,” Ferrante said.“ Superintendents have a tremendous influence on jobsite culture, and Michael, Keith and Christian have demonstrated the commitment, accountability and leadership this award was created to recognize.”
Eighteen companies received 2025 National AGC Safety Awards: BOND Building Construction, Charter Contracting Company, Citywide Contracting, Columbia, Commodore Builders, Consigli Construction, EFR Mechanical, Elaine Construction, Erland Construction, F. W. Madigan Company, Gilbane Building Company, John Moriarty & Associates, M. L. McDonald Sales Company, MWH Constructors, Sea- Dar Construction, Siena Construction, TOCCI and Walsh Brothers.
The AGC MA Merit Safety Awards recognized member companies for strong safety performance and an ongoing commitment to workplace safety. This year’ s recipients are

Avangrid Wins Two Brandon Hall Awards

Orange, CT – Avangrid, Inc. has again been recognized with two Brandon Hall Group HCM( Human Capital Management) Excellence Awards. The awards recognize organizations that develop and deploy programs, strategies, technologies, and solutions that deliver measurable business results and advance excellence in human capital management.

His work focuses on psychological safety, mental health, leadership behavior and building workplace cultures rooted in accountability and trust.
