Norwalk, CT – Bergmeyer has completed the interior design for Piper, a new luxury apartment community developed by Toll Brothers Apartment Living in partnership with Harris Realty Company LLC. The 8-story, 393-unit community in Norwalk opened in August 2025.

Tasked with establishing a distinct identity for the property, Bergmeyer grounded the design in deep neighborhood research, studying nearby multifamily properties as well as local hotels and other amenity-rich buildings to ensure Piper would feel both distinctly local and timelessly refined. Bergmeyer also worked alongside collaborators Barton Partners and Streetsense to benchmark Piper against the market’ s future. The

resulting interiors draw from Norwalk’ s coastal character without defaulting to obvious nautical references. Highlights include weathered, patinated materials that play against reflective metals; matte stone that contrasts with refined woods; and a palette of sea-inspired blues and greens, punctuated by rust and yellow.

The development includes 21,700sf of amenity space. Every amenity was

programmed to foster spontaneous connection and support the rhythms of daily life – from the social Mail Café and speakeasy-style Library with Wine Bar to the pet playroom, rooftop deck with panoramic views, and study nooks.
