Williston, VT – DEW Construction announced it is currently working on several multifamily developments across New England.
In Lebanon, N. H., DEW is building The MAREK North, marking the firm’ s second collaboration with Saxon Partners following the completion of The MAREK South in 2024. Designed by The Architectural Team, the development will deliver 204 modern apartments across three 5-story buildings, each incorporating ground level structured parking. Together with a dedicated amenity building, the project encompasses 300,970gsf.
Further north in the Mount Washington Valley, DEW is delivering Riverline North Conway, a large-scale, multifamily development on a 13.2-acre site along the Saco River. Developed and managed by The Dolben Company, Inc. and owned by a Dolben affiliate, the project will deliver 228 luxury apartment homes through a coordinated, multi-building construction effort. Designed by Gate 17 Architecture, the development comprises eight 3-story residential buildings – five 24-unit and three 36-unit walk-up structures – totaling approximately 275,00gsf, along with a 5,672sf clubhouse and pool, three

In Williamstown, Mass., DEW is building River Lofts at Cable Mills, a mixed-income residential community designed by ICON Architecture. The 5-story, wood-framed building will deliver 54 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, including both affordable and market-rate units. The project integrates below-grade parking and shared interior amenities while fully leveraging its setting along the Green River. Outdoor spaces – including walking paths, a community garden, and riverfront gathering areas – are designed to extend the project’ s impact beyond the building envelope and strengthen connections to the surrounding neighborhood.
DEW is also advancing adaptive reuse through the Eagle Mill Redevelopment in Lee, Mass., a large-scale, multiphase transformation of a former paper mill dating back to the early 1800s. Designed by DBVW Architects, the first phase, The Lofts at Eagle Mill, will introduce 56 affordable apartment homes within a registered historic brownfield site. Supported by state and federal funding sources – including Low Income Housing Tax Credits – the project is designed to preserve a significant historic structure while delivering modern housing infrastructure and long term community benefit. The work includes extensive hazardous material remediation and selective demolition, allowing the site to be reactivated safely and responsibly.
In Portland, Maine, DEW will begin work this summer on the Portland Housing Authority’ s COMB Block Phase 1 Development, a multifamily housing project incorporating comprehensive brownfield remediation. Designed by Ryan Senatore Architecture, the project includes construction of a 55-unit multifamily building serving low income households. The development is designed and will be constructed to meet Passive House and Zero Energy Ready Home standards. Residential units will range from one to three-bedroom layouts, with 11 apartments fully accessible for residents with physical disabilities. Brownfield remediation will extend across the entire approximately 1.53 acre site, preparing the property for safe redevelopment and future community use.
“ Multifamily continues to represent one of the most active areas of development throughout the region,” said Matthew Wheaton, executive vice president and principal at DEW.“ Our current work, combined with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, positions us to continue supporting communities seeking long-term, sustainable housing solutions.”
