AGC MA Celebrates Industry Leaders at 2026 Summer Social

AGC MA’ S 2026 MEMBER DISTINCTION AWARD RECIPIENTS:
Wellesley, MA— The Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts( AGC MA) welcomed more than 200 members and industry partners to the Garden at Elm Bank on June 11 for its 2026 Summer Social, an evening of networking, celebration, and recognition of outstanding contributions to the construction industry.
The event featured the presentation of AGC MA’ s 2026 Member Distinction Awards, which recognize individuals and organizations whose leadership, service, and commitment exemplify the best of the construction industry.

At the event, the SIR( Skill, Integrity, and Responsibility) Award was presented to Bill Aalerud of Columbia Construction Company. The SIR Award is AGC MA’ s highest individual honor and recognizes exceptional leadership, integrity, and service to the construction industry. This is the second time AGC MA has honored a member with the SIR award.
“ Bill Aalerud has been an extraordinary leader for AGC MA and a tireless advocate for our industry,” Ferrante said.“ His contributions as a board leader, mentor, and champion for our members have helped shape the association and strengthen the construction community throughout Massachusetts. CI Honors Flow Tech’ s Nichole Petersen with 2026 Collaborative Leadership Award

Hartford, CT – Flow Tech announced that Nichole Petersen, CPSM, director of marketing, recently received the 2026 Collaborative Leadership Award, presented by the Construction Institute at its Annual Dinner & Awards on June 11, at The Society Room of Hartford. The award recognizes an individual, company, or group that has actively demonstrated a commitment to the institute’ s core mission of promoting cross-industry collaboration.
Representatives of the firm say that in her role, Petersen leads Flow Tech’ s marketing department with energy, creativity, and vision, and that she shapes strategies that strengthen the company’ s brand presence, drives customer engagement, support revenue goals, and reinforce the award-winning culture that makes Flow Tech unique. She is involved in every aspect of the organization, from strategic planning and brand communication to event management, talent development, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration. She also transformed Flow Tech’ s signature Flowtoberfest from a small 50-person gathering into a 230-person experience and led Demo Day, an interactive event designed to educate, connect, and inspire.
Petersen served as past president of SMPS Connecticut and was recognized nationally as Chapter President of the Year. She was also a PWC 40 Under 40 honoree, an active volunteer with ABC Connecticut, the Connecticut Building Congress and the Construction Institute, and co-founder of the Win More Work Summit, a learning experience for AEC professionals.
Representatives of Flow Tech say that, through every role she’ s held, Petersen demonstrates a deep commitment to collaboration, innovation, and community-building, and that her leadership and generosity continue to make a lasting impact on the industry and reflect the spirit of the Collaborative Leadership Award.
