buildings deserve extraordinary care, and we are humbled by the trust clients have placed in us to perform their most challenging renovation and expansion endeavors.
HP: The construction industry has changed dramatically in terms of technology, workforce expectations, sustainability, and project delivery. How do you balance honoring a 125-year legacy while still pushing the company forward and adapting to what clients need today?
RW: Balancing the strengths of our“ oldschool” values with modern advances in technology, employee well-being, sustainability, and evolving project delivery alternatives has always been a challenge in construction, and one we continue to embrace. We are always seeking new ways to improve our technologies, whether it’ s with software advances, specialized individual talent, or partnering with advanced subcontractors and consultants. As president and CEO, part of my role is to continuously explore all potential improvements that enable us to deliver our clients’ projects faster, more effectively, and more safely than ever before. As the fourth generation steward of the firm, I constantly take time to reflect on what has driven our success in the past, ensuring we preserve the strong ethical foundation that defines us while adapting to the evolving needs of our clients.
HP: As you look toward the future, what do you hope the next generation of employees, clients, and industry partners will say about Walsh Brothers when they think about the company’ s impact on New England’ s built environment?

As the fourth generation steward of the firm, I constantly take time to reflect on what has driven our success in the past, ensuring we preserve the strong ethical foundation that defines us while adapting to the evolving needs of our clients.
RW: As we continue to focus on our mission of delivering world-class service to clients who recognize the value-added services we bring, I am confident that our employees, clients, and industry partners will continue to view our impact on the regional AEC industry positively. Building a reputation for excellence can take decades, and we are only as good as our performance on the last project we completed for each client. For that reason, we continue to strive for perfection in everything we do. Walsh Brothers has never aspired to be the largest construction manager in the region, nor have we sought to pursue every project in every market. Instead, we will remain focused on what we do best: delivering exceptional projects with honesty and integrity for institutional clients throughout New England.
