Portsmouth, NH – Eastern Real Estate and The Kane Company recently announced the start of construction on Prescott Post, a 360-unit Class A multifamily development in Portsmouth.
Located on a formerly vacant retail property, the apartments are designed to reflect Portsmouth’s distinctive charm, offering a blend of best-in-class amenities and proximity to the area’s major employers, entertainment, and natural beauty. The project recently broke ground and is scheduled to deliver its first units in Q4 2026, with full completion expected in late 2027. Callahan Construction Managers will oversee the construction of the market-rate community.
Set on 26 acres, Prescott Post will feature a collection of three- and four-story buildings surrounded by nearly three acres of green and community space. The community will include studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences designed to appeal to the city’s growing population of professionals. Amenities will include co-working spaces, an indoor/outdoor fitness suite with yoga studio, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, a dog run with pet wash station, and private garages. Each unit will feature premium finishes such as quartz countertops, stainless steel Energy Star appliances, and in-unit washers and dryers.
“At Eastern Real Estate, we focus on creating communities that reflect the scale and character of their surroundings,” said Andrew Hayes, managing director, Eastern Real Estate. “Working closely with local leaders, we’re excited to bring Prescott Post to life, establishing a residential community that complements the Seacoast’s distinctive charm and natural setting while welcoming residents to experience all the city has to offer.”
“Portsmouth is one of New England’s most exciting cities, and Prescott Post will create opportunities for current and future residents to experience all that it has to offer,” said Steve Callahan, Jr., vice president – business development for Callahan Construction. “We are particularly excited to be part of the team responsible for bringing it to life, and to work closely with city leadership and residents to build a project all can be proud of.”
