CM Selected for $ 250M Tweed-New Haven Airport Expansion

Hartford, CT – STV announced it has been selected by AVports to provide construction management services for the $ 250 million Tweed-New Haven Airport( HVN) terminal expansion.
As part of its scope, STV’ s local Hartford-based team will oversee the development of the program, which includes:
• A new 80,000sf East Terminal designed to improve operational efficiency and offer modern passenger amenities, including expanded gate areas, upgraded concessions and comfortable waiting and lounge spaces;
• A runway extension from 5,600 feet to 6,575 feet, enabling larger aircraft and expanded route options;
• Parking facilities for up to 4,000 vehicles, improving access and convenience for travelers;
• Environmental enhancements, including restoring 28.5 acres of tidal wetlands and creating more than three acres of new tidal salt marsh to compensate for the nine acres of wetlands affected by the project.“ Tweed-New Haven Airport is a gateway for growth and we’ re proud to help unlock its potential,” said Mark DuPre, vice president and project executive of the program management and construction management( PM / CM) operating group at STV.“ By modernizing this vital transportation hub, we’ re improving mobility, boosting economic opportunity and advancing infrastructure that truly reflects the needs of the fastestgrowing city in Connecticut.”

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with completion anticipated by 2028.

Electrical Students Visit Project Site

Boston – Suffolk’ s Huntington Tower project team recently hosted 12 electrical students from Madison Park Technical Vocational High School, showing them the progress at this 34-story mixeduse development in Boston’ s Fenway neighborhood.
The visit included a presentation about the project and construction career pathways from Project Executive Eamonn Murphy, followed by a guided site tour with Safety Manager Greg Bonica. The site tour featured conversations with four trade partners, and a chance for the students to ask questions. The students said they were excited to recognize components they had learned about in

class when they viewed the electrical room. Their instructor shared that they couldn’ t stop asking questions on the way back to school, saying how amazing it was to see an active construction site.
Located at 252-264 Huntington Avenue in Boston’ s Fenway neighborhood, the 34-story Huntington Tower is a mixeduse residential project that will span over 472,000sf and include more than 400 residential units, as well as retail space and a new entry and lobby, rehearsal and tech rooms, a separate black box theatre and a catering and bar area for the Huntington Theatre next door.
