Nine WinnCompanies Apartment Communities Earn Excellence Awards

Boston – Nine apartment communities built, renovated and operated by WinnCompanies and its affiliates won top awards in 2025 as the company earned honors for new construction, historic adaptive reuse and property management in five states from multifamily industry groups and commercial real estate influencers.
In addition, WinnResidential executive vice president, Lynn Bora, an 11-year veteran of the company who is responsible for directing property management operations for 200 properties, earned the Massachusetts Apartment Association’ s( MAA) 2025 Industry Excellence Award recognizing the leadership, contributions and impact she has demonstrated during her 30-year career.
New Construction Awards:
• The first phase of the redevelopment of the Mary Ellen McCormack public housing complex in South Boston, Mass. was named a winner of the American Institute of Architects( AIA) 2025 Regional & Urban Design Award. AIA recognized the project as“ the best in urban design, regional and city planning, and community development.” The Architectural Team and CBT shared the AIA honor as partners in a collaboration between WinnCompanies, the Boston Housing Authority, and the Mary Ellen McCormack Tenant Task Force.
• The Alice, a 125-unit mixed income community built in Princeton, N. J. by WinnDevelopment and PS & S engineering, was honored for innovation, quality, and an exceptional living environment by the 2026
American Council of Engineering Companies New York Platinum Award for Engineering Excellence in Building / Technology Systems.
Renovation and Reuse Awards:
• WinnDevelopment’ s acquisition and renovation of West Village Apartments in Buffalo, N. Y. was recognized by the National Apartment Association( NAA) and the National Affordable Housing Management Association( NAHMA), which awarded the $ 21 million project their highest honors in the Major Rehab category.
• The Residences at Mill 8, the second phase of WinnDevelopment’ s work at the historic Ludlow Mills complex in Ludlow, Mass., was named Grand Winner in the Senior Housing category

• The $ 39.2 million adaptive reuse project that transformed Stone Mill, the oldest mill in Lawrence, Mass., into a mixedincome apartment community won the Paul & Niki Tsongas Award from Preservation Massachusetts and top honors in the Mixed Income category from Multifamily Executive magazine. Stone Mill Lofts also won second place in the Adaptive Reuse category from Retrofit magazine and finalist honors from Affordable Housing Finance magazine.
• WinnDevelopment’ s $ 36 million project at The Lofts at Osage Mill in Bessemer City, N. C. was honored as one of the state’ s leading renovation projects by Business North Carolina. The project was

NACDNE Announces 2026 Director of the Year Awards

Boston – The National Association of Corporate Directors New England Chapter( NACDNE) recently announced its 2026 Director of the Year awards honoring top public and private company boards, and three individual awards: Lifetime Achievement, Excellence in Corporate Governance, and Nonprofit Leadership. NACDNE will hold its annual Director of the Year Gala celebrating all the honorees on April 30 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston.
Directors of PTC Inc., the global software company that enables manufacturers and product companies to digitally transform how they design, manufacture, and service the products the world relies on, are being honored
as NACDNE’ s Public Company Board of the Year. Named as Private Company Board of the Year are the directors of Shawmut Design and Construction, a $ 2.3 billion, 100 % employee-owned national construction management firm with 1,400 employees across 15 offices including Boston, New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. More than 80 % of its business comes from repeat clients.
NACDNE is also celebrating three honorees with its top Director of the Year awards.
For Lifetime Achievement: Ellen M. Zane, the former president and CEO of Tufts Medical Center and a member of several life-sciences, finance, and academic boards.
For Leadership in Corporate Governance: Diane Hessan, the CEO of Salient Ventures, founder of C Space, and member of several public-company and nonprofit boards.
The Myra H. Kraft Award for Non-Profit Leadership: Vanessa CalderonRosado, CEO of Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción( IBA), a New England Latinoled nonprofit community development and affordable housing organizations.

Property Management Awards:
• The National Apartment Association( NAA) honored Island Palm Communities( IPC), a privatized military housing community managed by WinnResidential Military Housing Services in Oahu, Hawaii, with an Excel Award as Military Community of the Year.
• The Massachusetts Apartment Association named The Alice G.
